Ms. Weithorn, 49, is a Certified Public Accountant who has served on numerous city and civic boards. Her contributions on the Commission's Budget Advisory Committee helped the city manage state-mandated budget cuts this year. She has the skills to ensure tax dollars are not wasted. She wants to clean up the sidewalks and increase workforce housing. ''Miami Beach must be both a great place to visit and live,'' Ms. Weithorn says.
